One Child Our Village Foundation, Inc. Founded in July 1997, by Daisy Jefferson, and a family members. One Child Our Village Foundation, Inc. provide scholarship for inner city youth, whom wish to continue their education. We are supported through the organization fundraisers and any donations.

It Takes An Entire Village To Raise And Teach A Child. This theme was developed to encourage others to support the One Child Our Village Foundation, Inc. because we realizes that it is only by promoting a strong, educated, and productive generation of youth that we will be able to secure the future of our communities.

One Child Our Village Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit organization consisting of volunteers reposing to the needs of today's youth. We have crusaded for more than ten years by raising funds and awareness for access to care, resources, and education for youth. We are striving to find a solution for the problems that today's youth face.  There are an astounding number of youth that chose not to go to college and the numbers are climbing at an alarming rate.   These youth need to know that there are ways for them to obtain a college education.   Our commitment to the cause is unwavering.  

We work in partnership with many organizations, - including government officials, schools, social service groups,  faith based organizations, and community groups - to provide support to young people who need our help. Everyone participates voluntarily, which is a key factor to our success.

Our purpose is to encourage youth to maintain high moral and scholastic standards.  We continuously monitor the effectiveness of our  work to ensure that our programs meet the needs of society and today's young people.  We work towards providing them with life-long skills, which can often lead to a successful lifestyle. 

The One Child Our Village Foundation, Inc. strives:

• To reduce the high school drop out rate.

• To increase basic skills test scores.

• To offer alternatives to gang involvement and criminal activities.

• To help young people to reconnect with their community.

• To train youth to be leaders and to serve as role models.

• To boost overall self-esteem of today's youth.

• To assist youth in developing educational and career skills.
